Good cause website application
A free website for a cause worth helping.
I occasionally donate a custom, HTML website to a community project, mutual-aid effort, nonprofit, or other good cause. Tell me what you are working on and how a website could help.
A note on eligibility
Good causes can be complicated. That is okay.
This offer is not available for supporting or opposing a candidate, elected official, political party, PAC, campaign, or election outcome. I make the final decision based on the cause, scope, safety, fit, and my availability.
Many causes touch public policy, civil rights, or issues that people describe as political. That alone does not disqualify an application.
A separate good-cause offer
Approved causes receive 20% off every service.
The service discount has its own policy and application. It is available independently of this free website program.
How approval works
Every application is reviewed individually.
Submitting an application does not guarantee selection or a particular timeline. I may select, decline, request more information, or hold an application for later based on fit and availability.
Cause and benefit
Who the website would help and what meaningful public or community benefit it could provide.
Scope and usefulness
Whether a focused HTML website is a practical match for what the cause actually needs.
People and readiness
Whether someone can provide finished content, images, feedback, and timely approvals.
Capacity and fit
Whether the project fits my skills, schedule, availability, and current commitments.
Common questions
Before you apply.
Do we need to be a 501(c)(3)?
No. Registered nonprofits can apply, but community projects, mutual-aid efforts, and informal groups may also be considered.
What does the free website include?
A custom, responsive HTML, CSS, and JavaScript website. Hosting, domains, registration fees, and publishing are not included.
Does applying guarantee a website?
No. Donated projects are selected at my discretion and depend on the cause, scope, fit, readiness, and my availability.
Can I nominate another cause?
Yes. The application accepts nominations and asks for a public or permission-based way for me to contact the project directly.
By submitting, you agree to be contacted about this application. Your information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
