Web development caught my attention in high school and never really let go. What began as curiosity became a career spent helping people untangle complicated ideas, fragile systems, and “surely the website can do this” conversations.

How I got here

I started learning code in high school, volunteered to teach other students, and took on projects for my community before I understood that this could become a career. Since then, I have worked in agencies, internal product teams, franchise organizations, and freelance environments. I have built everything from landing pages to multisite networks and custom commerce systems.

What keeps me interested is simple: I like taking something confusing and making it useful.

How I work

I work across the full stack, but I never want the machinery to distract from the person using it. I care about maintainable PHP, accessible interfaces, content that is easy to manage, estimates people can understand, and honest conversations about tradeoffs. I am equally comfortable joining an established team, working directly with a business owner, or sitting with a strange idea until it starts to make sense.

I have spent more than a decade working on websites that people depend on every day. Some were small business sites that needed patient cleanup. Others were large ecommerce and multisite systems where a bad deploy could interrupt real revenue. I am comfortable with both, and I know how to tell the difference between a quick fix and a problem that deserves a deeper look.

Life beyond the ticket queue

I am raising four daughters, which has made patience, adaptability, and creative negotiation less of a professional skill and more of a daily operating system. We occasionally have family “coding club” moments, and I love watching their curiosity develop in completely different directions.

I recharge by hiking, making art, building small games, and experimenting with ideas that may or may not become sensible projects. Those playful side paths matter to me. They keep the technical work human and often produce the solution I would not have found by staring harder at the same problem.
